Hello !

My name is Chathuri Tharika Perera, and I am currently in my third year at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, where I am pursuing a special degree in Mass Communication. From a young age, I have harbored a deep passion for entering the media industry.

To pave the way for this career, I chose Mass Communication as my subject for the Advanced Level examination. My excellent results led to my admission to the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, marking a significant milestone in my journey toward the media field. At the university, I have had numerous opportunities to practically apply and showcase various media skills. I have completed the necessary competencies to specialize in Mass Communication and have actively engaged in several practical activities organized by our department.

One notable project was the creation of a radio drama as part of our coursework, which was a resounding success. Additionally, I have demonstrated my abilities through media profiles of various university clubs, participated in voice-over projects, and contributed to the 'Cinema Theertha' short film festival dedicated to Mass Communication. These experiences have been invaluable in shaping my skills as a Mass Communication student.

These experiences culminated in the privilege of working as a writer for Jade Time PLC. This role allowed me to refine my writing skills, particularly in news editing. The experience at Jade Time PLC has laid a robust foundation for my professional aspirations in the media industry. I am profoundly grateful to Jade Time for this opportunity and the growth it has facilitated in my career.
