Hello! I'm Thanuja Jayani Lakshika. I'm currently a third year student studying a special degree in mass communication at the University of Sri Jayawardenepura.

When I was in school, I had great enthusiasm to enter the field of media and to prepare myself for that, I studied communication and media studies for advanced level and got excellent results and entered Sri Jayawardenepura University. It was a great stepping stone for me to enter the media industry.

I also managed to demonstrate various media skills practically in the university. And officially, I was able to hold positions in the subject association that we run in the department. It was a great achievement for me to have the opportunity to edit and present a radio drama last year in line with one of our syllabus. I am happy to inform you that this year as well as in the previous years, we are preparing to participate in the short film festival held in the field of mass communication called Cinema Theertha.

So here, this is my privilege to work as an article writer at JadeTimes PLC to gain experience in socializing as a mass communication specialist in such situations. Through training at JadeTimes PLC, I experienced the opportunity to see the art of writing within me in a new way through news editing.
