Cancellations, Delays Continue After the Indignation of FAA Interrupts Boston Logan, Major Airports

Boston, Massachusetts – Several flights were interrupted to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), while the national air traffic system is facing difficulties recovering after an equipment scandal impacting Philadelphia, Newark, and John F. Kennedy (JFK). The airport realized that the scheduled flights are being affected by the issue.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) facing troublesome the ground stop for Newark around 10 am. Eastern is impacted by an “equipment outage.” The New York ground stops at around 1 pm.
FAA administrator Bryan Bedford explained to the Reporter when a primary circuit fails, the agency investigates its backup fiber, citing the consequences of a construction incident in New Jersey.
"We've got the new circuit ready to install," said Bedford. “Estimating that it should be operational by 1:30 pm.”
For the part of the afternoon, Logan was also underneath the ground stop attribution to “airport volume.” The FAA realized that the Boston Air Traffic Control was "taking on extra volume due to diverts from PHL outages."
The FlightRadar24 witness five of the planes that were placed in parking on Runaway15 in Boston were international flights that were pre-routed for other airports.
FAA addressed the ground delay situation because the ceilings are very low, which has consequences for Boston. Dolly Wright, who came from Salt Lake City to Boston, addressed a comment about this issue.
“We couldn't even get into the gate. We had to be picked up by a bus out on the runway,” said Wright. “I know it can be chaotic for some people but we are kind of like seasoned travelers so you just roll with it.”
Bradley Airport, in Connecticut, shut down to non-related scheduled international air carriers, as the FAA stated.
According to Massport, “airlines were figuring out next steps for passengers, which could mean that their flights would be cancelled or they may be bused to their final destination.”
