Boston, Massachusetts — Prompt an eternal stream of humor about “central pahking” and arrivals vs.“depahtures.” Boston Logan International Airport is searching for a new “voice of Logan” to record announcements for the 43 million travelers who pass through its terminals every year.

The voice needs to embody “the spirit of Massachusetts and New England,” the Massachusetts Port Authority stated on Monday as it has an issue to call the state residents for a tryout.

“The Voice of Logan is a search for something distinctly Boston – a voice that instills confidence and hometown pride in every traveler, whether they’re visiting for the first time, returning home, or simply passing through,” said Massport.

Massport CEO Rich Davey explained the study on an authentic voice that is marketable with other fresh efforts, including new facilities, and upgrading stagnation to adjust the customer experience.

“During this milestone year, it was especially important that we help everyone passing through Logan to feel immediately at home,” said Davey. “And there’s no better way to do that than with one of the many diverse, distinct and deeply proud voices that make up our Commonwealth.”

Massachusetts residents could apply at Voice of Logan's Website to record themselves reviewing the short script. The text involves a lot of opportunities for dropped Rs, such as a name-check of Gloucester and the Green Monster. And one of the participants used the word “Wicked”, absolutely.

Officials would provide the applications to five finalists and open voting to the public from October 24 to 28. Massport would announce the winner on November 5. By Mid-November, Logan’s new voice would start inviting travelers to Boston.
