Worcester, Massachusetts — On December 19, Bob Chesney won at Assumption College and won at College of Holly Cross, had unmatched success with both programs took both programs to the NCAA playoffs multiple times. It is not shocking who saw his success in Worcester to review in his second year at James Madison University, he had the Dukes in the College Football Playoff. JMU is at Oregon Saturday night at around 7:30 PM. Chesney had recently become the Head Coach at UCLA; however, he stated to the Bruins that he would continue to maintain a coach for the entire playoffs. For Chesney, it became a dedication of commitment.
"To be honest, I don't think there is another option," said Chesney, 'you've built this team over 2 years and the commitment that we have all made and the thought of us at one point saying we're not only gonna win the Sun Belt, but we're gonna be in the 12 team playoff. Those were words we said obviously after you say those words you have to back it with action very very quickly, and I think you know our guys were prepared for that and worked hard all winter worked hard all spring all summer and then back to preseason and it's just not an option to still be mid mission and walk away from this team."
