Ethan Page and Big Cass Turn Chad Gable’s Title Celebration Into Chaos

Ethan Page and Big Cass brought a sudden end to Chad Gable’s celebration on the 19 October episode of Raw. Gable had just defended the Intercontinental Championship against Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee in a demanding Triple Threat match. Instead of leaving the ring with a victory to enjoy, he became the target of a surprise attack that also caught both challengers.
The championship match had already given the audience plenty to follow. Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee used their speed and aerial moves to keep the action moving, while Gable answered with suplexes, counters and submission holds. With three wrestlers competing at once, nobody could focus on just one opponent. Every attempted pin or submission carried the risk of being interrupted by the third man.
Several moments brought the challengers close to taking the Intercontinental title. Mysterio connected with his familiar 619, while Lee used powerful attacks and repeatedly tried to take control. Gable had to survive their offence while watching for chances to strike. The match rewarded timing as much as strength, because a wrestler could lose the championship without being the person pinned.
In the finish, Gable caught Mysterio with a roll-up and secured the three-count. It was a quick ending to a match full of movement and reversals. Mysterio then shared a respectful moment with the champion, briefly shifting the atmosphere from competition to appreciation. After everything the three had put into the match, it looked like they would leave the ring having earned one another’s respect.
That changed when Ethan Page launched his attack, with Big Cass joining the ambush. Gable, Mysterio and Lee were all targeted after their exhausting contest. The attack turned the closing scene into something very different from a championship celebration. Page and Cass did not need a match result to make their presence felt; their actions ensured that attention moved towards them.
The segment leaves several storyline questions open. Gable still holds the championship, but he now has a reason to confront the men who ruined his victory. Mysterio and Lee also have unfinished business after being caught in the assault. A new title match or alliance has not been confirmed, so the immediate story is the attack itself—and how the three wrestlers choose to respond.
