Pop/R&B singer-songwriter Nija released unruly on October 18, 2024. It is the lead single for her upcoming project , What I Didn't Say, which is set to be published on January 23, 2026, via Amnija LLC. IAmTash, Matt Kolb, and Trillboygeo produced this track.
According to Rated R&B, “over a smooth, hard-hitting production, Nija brushes off past anguish and holds her head high with self-affirming lyrics.”
The Grammy Award-nominated songstress wrote Unruly.
Nija interviewed with Rated R&B, “I wrote ‘Unruly’ because I felt like the girlies needed another anthem to celebrate themselves. It’s about knowing who you are, knowing your worth, and knowing the power you possess while looking good doing it.”

Unruly follows Nija’s EP Don't Say I Didn't Warn You, which was released in 2022. She parted ways with Capitol Records to begin her career as an independent artist.
Nija spent her journey as a songwriter, writing songs for various artists, including Normani (All Yours), Coco Jones (All Beautiful Design), and Cardi B (Shower Tears).
