A specialist marine unit from Police Scotland will be joining the search in Orkney for a diver missing since last week.
The missing man, who is a commercial scallop diver from the islands, was last seen working in the Scapa Flow area. The alarm was raised shortly after 2:30 PM on Wednesday.
Search efforts have included a major land, air, and sea operation, with helicopters joining rescue teams and lifeboats. Coastguard teams have been combing the region, known for diving hotspots, while tugs from Orkney Islands Council have also assisted.
The initial reaction included two coastguard helicopters sweeping the area, while as the operation wore on, it became police-led. On Sunday, coastguard crews, backed up by lifeboats, focused their efforts around the coastline around Scapa Flow.
The name of the missing diver has not been confirmed.
