The Irish band will release Carnaval De Luz on November 13 and begin its announced stadium shows in February 2027.

U2 fans have a new album to look forward to after a long wait. The band has announced Carnaval De Luz, its first album of new songs in nine years, which will be released on November 13. The news comes as U2 celebrates 50 years since the band first formed. For people who have listened to its music for years, the album will offer a chance to hear something new from a familiar group.

The album has 12 songs and was produced by Jacknife Lee. The songs are about friendship, freedom, faith and finding the strength to carry on when life gets difficult. These are feelings and experiences that many listeners may recognize in their own lives. Once the album is out, people will be able to hear how the band has turned those ideas into songs.

Fans can already listen to some of the new music, including “Street of Dreams” and “Silencio.” U2 has also worked with musicians such as Brian Eno and Martin Garrix on the album. The songs released so far give listeners a first idea of what to expect, but there is still more music to come. People who enjoy hearing an album from beginning to end will have to wait until November to listen to the full collection.

There is also news for fans who want to see the band perform live. U2 has announced a stadium tour starting in February 2027, with the first six shows planned for Mexico City, São Paulo and Buenos Aires. The opening show is set for February 23 in Mexico City, and Beck will perform before U2 at all six concerts. Fans in other places will need to wait for more dates to be announced before planning a trip or buying tickets.

This will be U2’s first stadium tour since 2019, but the band has performed at other shows since then. During 2023 and 2024, it played at the Sphere in Las Vegas, with concerts centered on its album Achtung Baby. The coming tour gives the band a chance to bring its new songs to the stage alongside music from earlier years. For audiences, it will be a chance to hear the new record live and see how it fits into a full U2 concert.

The album will arrive a few months before the tour, giving listeners time to learn the songs before the shows begin. Some fans may be hoping to hear the sound they have loved for years, while others may be curious about what the band will try next. People who are new to U2 will also have a fresh place to start listening. For now, November 13 is the date to remember, with the first concerts following in February.
