On February 20, powerhouse singer Yebba announced her brand-new sophomore album, Jean, set for release on March 6 via RCA Records. Jean is named after her late Grandmother, and she released her lead single, Yellow Eyes. This would be her first album since her 2021 debut album, Dawn.
“Yellow Eyes” is a great song. It brings with it tampering guitars and empathetic claps. Guitar plucks and grooves into each other. The listeners could hear the skin brush touching the strings and the resonant body. Yebba’s vocals are gentle, proximate, however, resilient. “I wanted to experience singing in a different way than I had before,” said Yebba, on the recent song.
Jean is out 3/16 via RCA Records.
