Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Emmy Award-winning journalist Lauren Sánchez tied the knot in a glamorous black-tie ceremony on Friday, June 27, in the heart of Venice. The celebration, held on the historic island of San Giorgio Maggiore, was attended by a constellation of global celebrities and business icons, marking one of the most high-profile weddings of the year.

The wedding was followed by an extravagant “Dolce Notte” (Sweet Night) pajama-themed party on Saturday, June 28, where festivities continued into the early hours of Sunday morning. PEOPLE reports that the after-party, which began at 7:00 p.m. and lasted until 4:00 a.m., featured silk pajamas, robes, velvet slippers, and a full-scale dance party with guests dancing on banquettes and sofas.

Sánchez, 55, stunned in a custom Versace silk chiffon gown adorned with rose gold, bronze, and gold Swarovski crystals. The meticulously hand-embroidered dress took 350 hours to create. Guests also received designer gifts: black Amazon slippers for the women and Vibi Venezia velvet slippers for the men, crafted by Countesses Viola and Vera Arrivabene.

The musical lineup included electrifying performances by Usher and DJ Cassidy, with notable guests such as Oprah Winfrey and Leonardo DiCaprio joining in on the dance floor. “Best dancer award goes to Jessica Alba,” an insider told PEOPLE, highlighting her energy throughout the night. Kris Jenner and Cory Gamble were also among the most animated on the dance floor.

Unlike many traditional receptions, Bezos and Sánchez opted out of a formal first dance. “No formalities at this one, just partying,” the source added, emphasizing the relaxed, joyful atmosphere.
