Los Angeles-native Independent songstress Joyce Wrice released her new song, Crack The Code on May 1, 2026, via BMG. A vocal-led publication that focuses on resilience, adapting emotional tension in Modern R&B. See the art cover below, photographed by Rolexx.
Malik Ninety Five produced Crack The Code. The song impacted the late 1990s and early 2000s without the propensity for nostalgia. Wrice wrote this track to deliver her raw, raspy vocals that revealed her artistry, she explained, about the idea in her songwriting skills.
“‘Crack The Code’ came from the perspective of someone who is so used to holding back emotionally, but meets someone who makes that almost impossible,” said Wrice. “It’s exciting, but there’s tension underneath it all because you don’t fully trust it, or yourself in it. You’re craving connection but also resisting it at the same time. You want them, you feel them, but part of you is always trying not to fall too hard.”
Crack The Code is the second single from Wrice’s upcoming sophomore album, and the follow-up to Break Me In.
Crack The Code is Now Available via BMG
