Couple Charged With Criminal Activity For Empire State Building “Climb-Turned-Proposal”

New York City, New York – A skyscraper-climbing couple reported to the police that they
reached the Empire State Building, and unrolled a banner about love and peace because they wanted to make something special for their engagement, which prosecutors stated on Thursday morning (July 2nd) at the couple’s restraining order on criminal activity: reckless endangerment, trespassing, and other felonies.
The daredevil couple, better known as Angela Nikolau and Ivan Beerkus, as they left the court, through Beerkus responded to the news reporter: “We believe in love.”
The court made a complaint, according to AP News, it stated: “police found a broken lock on a security door on the Empire State Building’s restricted-access 104th floor, which provides access to the antenna. The highest public floor is the 102nd, where there’s an observation deck. Going higher requires a key card.”
The Manager of the Empire State Building found this climb “unauthorized”; however, they have not provided any responses explaining their reaction, if any, to the daredevils who had security workers. Beerkus and Nikolau were released from jail in the according of the New York Law that restricts when monetary bail can be arranged. Their attorney, Jason Krinsky, reported that once outside the court, once the prosecutors bring evidence, he and his clients would continue the further steps.
“What a way to propose — something you can only dream of,” said Krinsky. “So you’ve got to, you know, give him some credit for that.”
Other daredevils have climbed the Empire State Building. Those incidents have also been authorized. Actor and musician Jared Leto climbed up to the base of the antenna from the 86th floor to promote his tour.
