Worcester, Massachusetts — On August 28, Bob Chesney and the JMU Football Team appeared their upcoming season at home that would be on a Saturday Night at 6 pm against Webter State, the former Holy Cross Head Coach adores his Dukes team.
"Excited to get it rolling they've competed so hard," said Chesney, "I love that they come to practice every day and they just love practicing they love competing and they love football and that's what you know I'm passionate about and that's what really is my drive and purpose is, to hope that they can see it the same way and learn real life lessons from you know their time on the football field. But I like the growth we've had a little bit better as far as understanding our depth is concerned when you look back a year ago, we got here with 64 new guys and the 50 some that we're already on the team, we really didn't know, there were only three guys that played meaningful snaps and that was a center a guard and a punter and other than that like everybody else we were trying to find the film and see what they might look like in game and you don't really know till the season starts. So I just feel like now we have a better grasp on what our team is comprised of I love where they're at. I love their spirit. I love their energy. I love their competitive levels and they play really really hard right now so I'm excited to get this thing started."
