Rising R&B singer-songwriter Jaz Karis teamed up with Joyce Wrice and 3ee to release their latest single, “Is It Alright?” on December 12, 2025, via Carmen Inc. and MNRK Music Group.
Karis’s powerful vocal above the glossy production as she confronts the double standard on the engagement of the romantic relationship, singing, “How can you do what you do but you don’t want that from me?” The song is enclosed as a truthful conversation between two women, with Wrice extending graceful tenderness to the conference.
“Is It Alright?” is a remake of “Alright” from her 2025 EP, Loud In The Water, which showcases the improvement of her songwriting and vocal ability. The song creates a soft, mid-tempo sound that finds Karis self-discovered, bringing balance and peaceful confidence to handle the emotional variation.
Karis explained the message of “Alright” and her playful collaboration with Wrice.
“‘Alright’ is really about standing in your own truth and knowing your worth,” said Karis. “Sometimes love isn’t balanced, and that’s okay. You can still be free, confident, and at peace with your choices. Working with Joyce on this track made it feel like we were telling a story that’s honest, fun, and real.”
